| A busy working atmosphere after Tet at MSV Co. Ltd. |
Quick stabilization of production
At Hue Textile and Garment Joint Stock Company, more than 4,000 workers returned to work immediately after the Tet holiday. Production lines are operating in sync to ensure the timely fulfillment of previously signed orders. Due to the specificness of the fashion industry, shipments for markets such as the United States, Europe, Japan and Australia must begin production right after Tet to meet seasonal demand. As a result, the company maintains a continuous production pace, minimizing any disruption.
The working atmosphere at the company’s workshops is energetic. Tran Thi Tam, a garment worker, shared: “When we returned to work after Tet, everyone felt cheerful and enthusiastic. The company’s leaders also held a gathering and gave lucky money at the start of the year, which motivated us to quickly get back into our routine”.
In 2025, Hue Textile and Garment JSC recorded positive business results: revenue reached 112,3% of the annual plan, up 15,6% compared with 2024, while profit reached 135,7% of the target, increasing 38,4%. The average monthly income reached 10,7 million VND per worker, up 10,4%. This year, the company aims to maintain stable production and sustain revenue and profit while increasing workers’ wages by 10%, with average income expected to reach about 12 million VND per person per month.
At MSV Co. Ltd., production activities also resumed quickly. All employees returned to work on schedule, and production lines operated smoothly from the first working day. According to Mr. Le Quy Hoang, Head of the General Affairs Department and Chairman of the company’s trade union, the business currently employs 1,100 workers, with an average income in 2025 of 8.7 million VND per person per month.
Company representatives said that orders for 2026 had been secured early, allowing the business to proactively organize production and stabilize employment for workers throughout the year. Although regulations do not require companies to increase wages if they already pay above the regional minimum wage; however, in early 2026, the company decided to increase the basic salary by VND 150,000 per worker per month, which will also serve as the basis for social insurance contributions. The adjustment aims to motivate employees and retain the workforce.

Enhancing competitiveness
Alongside maintaining production momentum, garment businesses in the city are also adjusting strategies as export markets remain volatile.
According to Mr. Le Hong Long, Chairman of the Board and General Director of Phu Hoa An Textile and Garment Joint Stock Company, market trends are pushing companies to improve their design development capacity and proactive marketing, gradually increasing product value rather than relying solely on processing.
News that the United States suspended reciprocal tariffs from February 24th, 2026 has raised additional expectations for Vietnam’s export market. However, local exporters emphasize that they cannot rely solely on external factors but will continue investing in technology and improving product quality to maintain market share.
Following the orientation for development in the near future, many businesses plan to focus on three main pillars: Accelerating digital transformation and technological modernization; Expanding the application of AI in management and production; Investing in advanced equipment and expanding factories. These measures aim to enhance the competitiveness and international standing of local export businesses.
In reality, recent developments are clearly reflected in the production atmosphere following the Tet holiday. According to statistics from Hue City Labor Federation, more than 98% of workers returned to work on the first day after the Lunar New Year holiday, while the rate reached 99% in economic zones and industrial parks. Over 98% of businesses resumed production and business activities. Labor relations have remained stable, with no strikes or collective work stoppages reported.
According to Mr. Nguyen Quy, Vice Chairman of Hue City Labor Federation, most businesses ensured full payment of 13th-month salaries, Tet bonuses and welfare benefits in accordance with regulations. Many companies also organized visits, gifts and additional support for workers facing difficulties or those working far from home. This timely and practical support not only helped workers enjoy a secure Tet holiday but also strengthened their confidence in a stable and responsible working environment. As a result, most workers returned to factories after the holiday with readiness to resume work and improve productivity. This momentum is considered an important factor helping businesses quickly stabilize production, maintain orders and sustain harmonious and sustainable labor relations from the very first days of the new year.
