At the meeting, Consul General Kang Boo Sung expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome from the city’s leadership. He congratulated Hue on officially becoming a centrally-governed municipality and recognized its significant economic and social development potential. With its strength and potentials, Hue has successfully attracted many businesses exploring investment opportunities. He hoped that the partnership between Hue and South Korean localities would expand beyond the existing economic and cultural cooperation into new areas of mutual strength.

Consul General of South Korea in Da Nang Kang Boo Sung affirmed South Korea’s commitment to furthering investment, trade, and tourism cooperation with Hue. He particularly emphasized support for human resource training, business networking, and strengthening tourism ties between South Korean partners and Hue. These efforts, he noted, would contribute positively to the broader Vietnam-South Korea partnership in the coming years.

Standing Vice Chairman Nguyen Thanh Binh warmly welcomed Consul General Kang Boo Sung of South Korea in Da Nang to the opening ceremony of the National Tourism Year in Hue, expressed appreciation for the Consul General’s support and assistance to Hue over time. Additionally, he acknowledged the strong cooperative relationship between South Korea and Hue, especially in fostering connections and support across multiple fields. Hue regularly engages in cooperative activities with South Korean localities, achieving significant results in tourism development, cultural exchange, and people-to-people diplomacy.

Standing Vice Chairman Nguyen Thanh Binh of the Hue City People’s Committee expressed his desire for the Consul General of South Korea in Da Nang to continue supporting Hue by promoting the city to South Korean partners, corporations, and business associations. He also sought assistance in connecting capable South Korean investors and enterprises with Hue in key sectors. Furthermore, he encouraged efforts to establish direct flight routes between Hue and South Korean cities, strengthen cultural exchanges and people-to-people ties, and develop tourism cooperation between Hue and South Korean regions.
