New Korean Ambassador to Vietnam visits Hue Imperial Palace

The delegation of the Korean Ambassador to Vietnam visited the Noon Gate (Ngo Mon), the Ngu Phung (Five Phoenixes) Pavilion, and the The To Temple (Temple of Generations), etc. At the visiting, Mr. Hoang Viet Trung, Director of Hue Monuments Conservation Center introduced to the delegation a number of typical architectural works, which are under construction and renovation within the Imperial Citadel, as well as introducing about the documentary heritage of poetry and literature on Hue royal architecture…

Besides, Hue Monuments Conservation Center also introduced to the delegation a number of effective cooperation programs and projects with Korea, under the cooperation signing program between Vietnam Cultural Heritage Department and Korean Culture Department since 2006. Typical among them is the project on the restoration of the Bien Chung and Bien Khanh percussion instruments (the royal musical instruments in the Nguyen Dynasty), which was restored and handed over to Hue Monuments Conservation Center by the Korean Government.

According to Ms. Oh Youngju, Hue heritage is a beautiful architectural complex that is preserved and maintained in a serious and professional manner. Hue Monuments Conservation Center has focused on protecting and embellishing the natural green environment of the Complex of Hue Monuments, creating the unique value of Hue relics and providing comfort and enjoyment to the visitors. This is also the core value of the protection of national cultural assets.
