Researching and developing green energy sources

HNN.VN - On August 11, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Phuong had a working session with a delegation from the Banpu Group (Thailand), led by Mr. Kirana Limpaphayom, Chief Executive Officer at Banpu, to research and explore investment opportunities in Thua Thien Hue province.

The Banpu Group is a leading integrated energy solutions company, with three core groups of businesses, including Energy Resources, Energy Generation and Energy Technology. Currently, the Group has business operations in ten countries, including Thailand, Indonesia, China, Australia, Laos, Mongolia, Singapore, Japan, the United States, and Vietnam.

Via the actual research conducted in the province, the Banpu Group desires to cooperate in investment and development of green and clean energy sources, and smart city, etc. According to Mr. Kirana Limpaphayom, the Group's investment criteria is that energy development must combine economic development with the locals’ lives, bringing benefits to the society and protecting the environment.

Chairman Nguyen Van Phuong welcomed that the Banpu Group had conducted the research and wished to invest in development. The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee asked the relevant departments and branches to coordinate with the Group to give support in finding suitable investment locations as well as guiding related procedures in the coming time.
