Strengthening cooperation between Departments of Public Security of Hue City and Shandong Province

HNN.VN - From July 7 - 11, a delegation of the Department of Public Security of Hue City, led by Colonel Duong Van Thoan, Deputy Director of Hue City’s Department of Public Security, along with representatives from the Foreign Relations Department, Ministry of Public Security, visited and worked with the Department of Public Security of Shandong Province, the People's Republic of China.

The Standing Deputy Director of Shandong Provincial Department of Public Security, Truong Nguyet Ba, expressed his pleasure in welcoming the delegation of Hue City’s Department of Public Security. He stated that this visit demonstrates the relationship and effective cooperation between the police forces of the two sides.

During the talk, the Departments of Public Security of Hue City and Shandong Province exchanged information, reviewed the results of one year of implementing the memorandum of understanding on cooperation, and shared experiences in combating high-tech crime. The Standing Deputy Director of Shandong Provincial Department of Public Security congratulated Hue City on its achievements and results in recent times, particularly in implementing the policy of the Party, State, and Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam on streamlining organizational structures, and establishing a two-tier local government and police model.

The representatives from both police forces acknowledged and highly praised the results of cooperation in various public security works over the past year, especially in grasping the situation and exchanging information related to security and order issues. This has actively contributed to national construction and protection, and further strengthened the increasingly close and profound comprehensive friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and China.

To continue promoting the cooperation between the Departments of Public Security of Hue City and Shandong Province in the coming time, leaders from both sides agreed on key directions and tasks outlined during the talk. These include focusing on intensifying cooperation in combating transnational crimes, drug crimes, human trafficking, high-tech crimes, arresting wanted criminals, and illegal immigration activities, as well as ensuring security and safety for citizens and businesses of each country in their localities.

On this occasion, Colonel Duong Van Thoan, Deputy Director of Hue City’s Department of Public Security, respectfully forwarded a congratulatory letter from Major General Nguyen Thanh Tuan, Director of the City’s Department of Public Security, to Mr. Ly Vy, Vice Chairman of Shandong Provincial People's Committee, and Director of the Provincial Department of Public Security, who was recently appointed to the Standing Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Disciplinary Committee, and Deputy Secretary in charge of the Shandong Provincial Supervision Committee. He also expressed gratitude for the thoughtful, sincere and warm reception from the leaders of the Shandong Provincial Department of Public Security from the moment the delegation of Hue City’s Department of Public Security arrived in China. During their visit and work in Shandong Province, the delegation visited and surveyed professional operations at various units and localities under the Shandong Provincial Department of Public Security.

As part of the working trip, the delegation also visited the Vietnamese Embassy and the Representative Office of the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam in China.
