Opening of KOICA Project Office in Hue

Attending the opening ceremony were Chairman of the Hue City People's Committee Vo Le Nhat; and Mr. Cho Han Deog, Country Director of KOICA Vietnam Office; leaders of Hue City and KOICA.

The office is located at 10 Ly Thuong Kiet St., Vinh Ninh Ward, Hue City. This is the working place of the Project Management Board of the project "Constructing Hue city of culture and smart tourism” and the consultant units and experts from Korea. Previously, this location was approved by Hue City People's Committee and arranged for the team of Korean consultants and experts to work, research and deploy projects on adjusting the city's general planning to 2030, with a vision to 2050; the project on detailed planning of both sides of the Huong River and the pilot project, which have achieved many good results.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, KOICA Vietnam Office Country Director, Mr. Cho Han Deog emphasized that for KOICA experts, this is an office of special significance. During the implementation of KOICA cooperation projects phase 1 and 2, experts gathered here, and seriously studied to complete 2 projects with good results. KOICA Vietnam hopes to receive a lot of attention and trust from the province and Hue city in the strong development of Thua Thien Hue through this Korea-Vietnam cooperation project.
