Music night connecting Vietnamese and Japanese art

HNN.VN - The audience in Hue have enjoyed an emotional night of concert performed by the four members of the Akatsuki band from the “Land of the rising sun”.

The concert, themed “Echoes across cultures”, took place on the evening of March 8 at the Song Huong Theater (Hue Academy of Music, 1 Le Loi Street, Thuan Hoa District), organized by the Japan Foundation Center for Cultural Exchange in Vietnam.

Akatsuki consists of four talented artists, namely Nobutaka Yoshizawa (Koto), Nobuhiro Kaneko (Koto), Junya Okochi (Shakuhachi), and Yuta Kanazashi (Wadaiko drum).

At the concert, the audience in Hue Ancient Capital was treated to a performance of outstanding works such as Sakura Sakura, a folk song medley including Yagibushi folk song - Oedo Nihon Bashi bridge - Okazaki gomangoku - Okazaki lullaby, Spring sea, Yachiyo lion, the moment of thread and bamboo, take me away to fly, bird man, The city overlooking the sea, wind-blown road, and drifting duckweed and drifting clouds, etc.

The program not only provided the audience with an impressive performance, but also contributed to building a bridge between Vietnam and Japan, based on the spirit of understanding, respect, and artistic cooperation.

According to the Organizing Committee, Akatsuki's journey is not just a simple concert, but a cultural dialogue, where historical values are connected and aimed towards a future of deeper artistic cooperation. Through music, they honor the harmony, diversity, and the spirit of human connection.
