The festival will take place from August 30th to September 1st, 2026, at Hue City Sports Center Square, with free admission for residents and visitors on the occasion of the National Day holiday (Sep 2nd). Under the theme ‘City Awakening - Awakening Heritage’, the event will blend music, cultural heritage, contemporary art, and performance technology to create a signature cultural-tourism product for Hue.

A highlight of the festival will be a large-scale multi-sensory stage featuring LED displays, visual mapping, interactive media, laser technology, and a wide range of modern performance effects. In addition to live performances, the festival will include cultural, creative, technology, and culinary experience zones, as well as community engagement activities.

Media representatives raising questions about infrastructure preparations for the festival

The spotlight of the event will be on two major concert nights. The ‘Heritage Awakens’ concert on August 30 will feature performances by My Tam, Phuong My Chi – singers, and Hoaprox – a DJ/Producer.  MONO, a singer, has also been announced as the festival's Heritage Promotion Ambassador. The ‘Heritage Connects’ concert on September 1st will bring together Vietnamese and international DJs, including VinJaz and MESS, as part of the city's long-term vision of establishing an international DJ festival in Hue.

The festival also introduced Long Ma (Dragon Horse) as the official mascot of Wonderverse Music Fest. Inspired by the mythical creature in Hue's cultural heritage, Long Ma has been reimagined through digital art and performance technology and will serve as the festival's signature symbol in future editions.

During the press conference, media representatives raised questions regarding preparations for infrastructure, accommodation, security, and plans to serve the large number of visitors expected to travel to Hue during the festival.

Responding to the media, Vice Chairman Tran Huu Thuy Giang said that the city would mobilize resources through public-private partnerships, with the state budget serving as seed funding for community activities while encouraging greater private-sector participation in large-scale programs. The city's tourism sector has also been tasked with reviewing accommodation capacity, including homestays, and preparing traffic management, security, and safety plans to support the festival.

Regarding the multi-sensory art space, Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Hai Trung, Deputy Director of Hue Monuments Conservation Centre and Head of Hue Festival Content Committee, noted that while Hue has previously organized artistic projection shows, this year's installation will be significantly larger in scale, incorporating interactive elements across the floor, ceiling, and surrounding environment to deliver an immersive new experience for audiences.
