The largest event ever organized in Hue is expected to open a new chapter for the cultural industries and tourism while strengthening the city’s international profile to the world.

Taking place from August 30 to September 1 at Ha Huy Tap Square, admission to Hue Wonderverse Fest 2026 will be free. The festival is expected to attract over 500,000 tourist arrivals and millions of audiences through domestic and international media platforms.

Vice Chairman of the City People’s Committee and Head of Hue Festival 2026’s organizing committee Tran Huu Thuy Giang, informed that Hue Wonderverse is being developed not merely as a single event but as the city’s international cultural and music festival IP. Scheduled to take place annually over the course of a week, with activities running from 5 p.m. until 1 a.m., the festival is expected to accelerate the development of cultural industries and the creative economy while also boosting tourism and strengthening Hue’s position on the global tourism map.

The festival is organized by the Hue Festival Organizing Committee, jointly produced by Beyond Communication JSC, with Huda serving as the strategic partner alongside numerous supporting organizations. The event is part of efforts to advance the development of the cultural industries while contributing to the vision of positioning Hue as Vietnam’s signature Festival City.

Under the theme “City Awakening”, Hue Wonderverse Fest 2026 aims to create a next-generation festival ecosystem where heritage values are brought to life through the language of music, art, and cutting-edge performance technology.

The festival’s highlights will be a multi-sensory stage featuring advanced LED displays, visual mapping, interactive media, laser technology, and other performance effects, thereby creating an immersive experience that connects Hue’s cultural heritage values with creative spirits and integration.

Another notable highlight is the debut of Long Ma (Dragon Horse), the official mascot of Hue Wonderverse Fest. Inspired by the mythical mascot deeply rooted in Hue’s culture, Long Ma has been reimagined through visual arts and contemporary performance technologies, emerging as a symbol that bridges the former imperial city’s historical legacy with the creativity of younger generations. The festival also marks the first time the Long Ma figure has been transformed into a digital artistic identity, serving as a guide of the entire festival experience while laying the foundation for a distinctive visual identity system to be carried in future editions.

The centerpiece of Hue Wonderverse Fest 2026 will be two grand music concerts, each featuring a distinct theme. Particularly, “Heritage Awakens” celebrates Vietnam’s cultural identity and spirit through performances by a diverse lineup of renowned artists from different generations. Meanwhile, “Heritage Integration” will bring together Vietnamese DJs who have performed on international EDM stages alongside international artists, creating a cutting-edge electronic music experience that further connects Hue with the world.

As announced by the organizing committee, the official press meeting is scheduled to take place on July 22 to unveil the festival’s artist lineup, sponsorship partners, and further details of the program.
