Hue Matsuri 2023 promotes Vietnamese - Japanese cultural exchange

HNN.VN - On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan, aiming to promote cultural exchange between Vietnam and Japan in the Central region, the HUE MATSURI 2023 event took place, with the theme "Manga Palace", within two days from September 9 to 10, in the square in front of the Quoc Tu Giam relic in Hue Imperial City.

The event takes manga (comics) representing Japanese culture as the main theme, and Hue Imperial City representing Vietnam's royal culture as the backdrop.

The event was organized with the participation of prominent enterprises and individuals in the Manga Anime industry in Vietnam and Japan with booths, Manga drawing experience areas, and opportunities for specialized training in Manga Anime, community exchange programs, discussion sessions with Japanese authors and production companies, and the performances of famous Anime artist from Japan.

This festive event is not only within the framework of celebrating the 50th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan, but is also an opportunity to spread the cultural beauty of the two countries to domestic and international manga and anime fans, and to those who love these two cultures; thereby, contributing to building a new industry for Hue, gradually turning Hue into the first Manga city of Vietnam. At the same time, this cultural interference is expected to bring a new breeze to a traditional city like Hue, contributing to promoting tourism, economic development, as well as opening up investment opportunities to Hue.

At the event, visitors and fans could visit book booths, Manga Anime items, Japanese and Vietnamese consumer products, and experience free Digital Manga drawing; visitors were also introduced to the stages of Manga production and outstanding works, along with in-depth study and research opportunities in the field of Manga Anime, and participated in the Cosplay program...
