The art program is part of a series of events "Vietnam - Japan Cultural Day in Thua Thien Hue province" organized by the Vietnam - Japan Friendship Association of Thua Thien Hue province.
Mr. Yakabe Yoshinori, Consul General of Japan in Da Nang, along with representatives of friendship organizations of the two countries, leaders of departments and a large audience attended the program.
Standing Vice Chairman Nguyen Thanh Binh said that in recent times, Thua Thien Hue has always had a very close and effective relationship with Japanese partners, making an important contribution to promoting extensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and Japan for peace and prosperity in Asia.
Thua Thien Hue is one of the few localities trusted and chosen by the Japanese Royal Family as the destination of the King, Queen, Crown Prince, and Prince of Japan during official visits to Vietnam.
In addition, Thua Thien Hue province has established many effective cooperative relationships with many Japanese localities such as Kyoto, Gifu, Nara provinces, and Yokohama city and achieved many good results in many fields such as tourism development, cultural exchange, people-to-people diplomacy, etc.
Regarding economic cooperation, Japan is one of the donors with the largest official development assistance (ODA) capital for Thua Thien Hue province; Many Japanese businesses and investors are increasingly interested in implementing many projects and effective production and business activities locally.
“2023 is an important year, marking a new milestone in relations between Vietnam and Japan in general and Thua Thien Hue province with Japanese partners in particular. We believe that with the attention of the two countries and the united efforts of the two peoples, the strong cooperative relationship between the two countries and peoples will continue to develop,” Standing Vice Chairman Nguyen Thanh Binh affirmed.

Meanwhile, according to Mr. Yakabe Yoshinori, rental prices in industrial zones are still at a relative level and it is easy to ensure human resources, hence this area is increasingly attracting the attention of Japanese companies as a new investment destination.
In the year marking the 50th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between Japan and Vietnam, Aeon Mall Hue Shopping Center has been invested and preparations for opening the first Aeon Mall in Central Vietnam are underway. In addition, the Deputy Governor of Gifu Prefecture visited the province in June, and by the end of this year, many more important delegations from Japan are expected to arrive. The Consulate General of Japan will try to provide maximum support to strengthen the relationship between Japan and Thua Thien Hue province.
At the show, the artists performed impressive art performances that left an impression on the audience. The performances revolved around the cultural beauty and people of the two countries.
In the series of events "Vietnam - Japan Cultural Day in Thua Thien Hue province" organized by the Vietnam - Japan Friendship Association of Thua Thien Hue province on the morning of September 9, the finale of the Japanese speech contest in Thua Thien Hue province also took place at Hue University of Foreign Languages (Hue University).
The contest had the participation of 10 excellent contestants in the two levels of Junior High School – Senior High School and College - University, selected from 45 contestants in the previous preliminary round. The contestants took turns presenting and defending their views on the topic given by the organizers, "The mark of friendship and cooperation between Thua Thien Hue province and Japanese partners."
In the end, the organizing committee awarded the First prize in the Junior High school - Senior High school level to candidate Ton Nu Thanh Thao (Hai Ba Trung High School, Hue City) and the First prize in the College - University level to candidate Vo Thi Minh Tam (Hue University of Foreign Languages, Hue University).

In addition to the above events, "Vietnam - Japan Cultural Day in Thua Thien Hue province" also had many other related activities such as musical exchanges between the Okinawa artist group and the Hue Academy of Music (September 10), before that, on the evening of September 7, at Duyet Thi Duong Theater, the Japanese Quintet symphony night also took place.
