Mr. Hu Wang Ming expressed gratitude for the warm welcome from Hue’s leaders and provided an overview of BaoWu’s scale, production capacity, and investment expansion strategy in Southeast Asia. The Group is currently researching cooperation opportunities in sustainable development–oriented sectors such as green materials, renewable energy, circular industry, and supply-chain–linked projects in Central Vietnam. Hue, he noted, is considered a locality with strong potential, advantages, and a favorable investment environment suitable for deploying major projects.

China BaoWu is currently developing according to the model of “one platform + five sectors”, in which steel production serves as the core platform and backbone of the Group. The green resources sector ensures sustainable energy and raw materials. The smart services sector drives digital transformation and integrates digital technology with real production. The advanced materials sector is positioned as a new growth engine, focusing on strategic and high-tech materials.

Mr. Hu Wang Ming also introduced Baosteel Can Making Co., Ltd. (Hue Vietnam) - one of the Group’s key subsidiaries, holding 22% of market sales in its field and specializing in aluminum can production. After ten years of efficient operation, Baosteel Can Making (Hue Vietnam) has become a reputable partner supplying products to major beverage companies, thereby affirming its production capacity and position in the Vietnamese market.

He also emphasized Hue’s investment-attraction orientation toward sustainability, environmental friendliness, and alignment with its vision of becoming a heritage city - a centrally governed municipality.

Mr. Phan Quy Phuong affirmed that Hue City always welcomes and facilitates major international corporations like BaoWu in exploring cooperation and investment opportunities. He highly appreciated BaoWu’s strategic development directions and those of Baosteel Can Making (Hue Vietnam), many of which align with Hue’s goals of sustainable development, green economy, and digital transformation. He expressed hope that both sides would continue information exchange, promote specialized survey missions, and explore concrete cooperative projects, particularly in advanced materials, renewable energy, circular industry, industrial-park infrastructure, and smart urban development.

Acknowledging the meaningful contributions of Baosteel Can Making (Hue Vietnam) over the past decade, Hue’s leaders pledged to create favorable conditions regarding procedures, land resources, infrastructure, and investment environment so that BaoWu’s projects and those of its member enterprises can be implemented smoothly, efficiently, and sustainably in Hue.
