Dr. Kinoshita Koshi and Dr. Pham Nguyen Quy from the Kyoto Miniren Hospital have recently supported Hue Central Hospital a lot in its general development.

From 2015 up to now, Dr. Kinoshita Koshi has been working as a liaison to support Hue Central Hospital in terms of medical equipment, introducing many specialized Endoscopic physicians from several hospitals in Kyoto and Japan to teach and carry out seminars, to exchange experience and to treat patients in Hue Central Hospital.

Through those times, Dr. Kinoshita Koshi has conveyed much useful updated knowledge, especially relating to endoscopic techniques to treat early-stage gastrointestinal cancer to doctors in the same field in Central Vietnam.

Dr. Pham Nguyen Quy from 2014 up to now has done the same practical work as Dr. Kinoshita Koshi at Hue Central Hospital. In addition, Dr. Quy also coordinated with Hue Central Hospital to organize many important workshops to exchange and update new knowledge about Endoscopic Submucosal Dissection (ESD, EMR), Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) at Hue Central Hospital.

Dr. Quy's contributions have helped many colleagues in the Central region in diagnosing and treating many forms of pathology, especially those related to endoscopic techniques to treat early-stage gastrointestinal cancer for thousands of cases in Thua Thien Hue...

On the morning of March 25, Hue Central Hospital announced that it had held a discharge ceremony for a pediatric patient with thalassemia (a hereditary blood disorder) following a successful bone marrow transplant using marrow donated by the patient’s older sister. This is the 15th thalassemia bone marrow transplant performed at the hospital, marking an important step forward in the treatment of genetic hematologic diseases.
