Tourism introduction and air route promotion between the Republic of Korea and Hue

HNN.VN - On January 29 and 31, the tourism sector of Hue and Quang Tri organized a program to introduce their local tourism and promote the opening of direct air routes in Seoul (Jan 29) and Busan (Jan 31), the Republic of Korea (RoK).

The working delegation of Hue City was led by Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh, Standing Member of the City Party Committee and Permanent Vice Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee. The event attracted numerous delegates, along with 100 travel agencies, airlines, and media agencies in the RoK.

The program aimed to promote the image of the Central Region of Vietnam, with Hue and Quang Tri at its center, as a diverse destination rich in cultural identity, blessed with beautiful natural landscapes, and attractive tourism services, while also fostering cooperation between Vietnamese and Korean tourism enterprises.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh shared that in 2025, Hue welcomed approximately 6.3 million visitors, including nearly 1.9 million international visitors, with about 20,000 Korean visitors visiting Hue (ranking the Korean market among the top 13 international source markets to the city).

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh emphasized that establishing direct air routes between Hue and major cities of the RoK would provide many practical benefits.

As part of the program, Hue City and Quang Tri Province jointly organized various activities to promote and develop local tourism, including introductions to destinations, events, festivals, tourism products and services, particularly tourism stimulus programs; screenings of films showcasing destinations, culture, tourism, and OCOP products; and a B2B space for tourism enterprises…
