Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Phan Ngoc Tho discussed the online payment solutions in tourism with the businesses on the sidelines of the conference
The forum was attended by more than 200 delegates who were leaders of provincial departments, agencies, as well as investors, tourism and information technology businesses, communication, training institutions, research institutes, professional associations, information technology experts, etc., across the country to discuss, propose and commit to deploy tourism development, especially smart tourism of Thua Thien Hue province.
The forum was organized with the goals of diversifying the form and improving the service quality of tourism businesses; promoting the ability of advertisement, communication, providing information to visitors and the community through the forms of smart tourism.
Speaking at the opening of the forum, Chairman Phan Ngoc Tho emphasized that with the outstanding achievements of information technology in the 4.0 industrial revolution, Vietnam's tourism industry in general and provincial tourism in particular is facing great opportunities and challenges.
Therefore, it is necessary to have timely breakthrough and creative changes in line with the trend of developing smart tourism, heading towards sustainable development and improving the competitiveness of the tourism industry.

Delegates and businesses visiting the new services and applications in Hue held on the sidelines of the conference
Following the trend of smart tourism, delegates said that it was essential for Hue to build an "Smart Tourism Ecosystem" and solve basic problems, such as building an smart destination, creating an smart experience and supporting the smart management and business; being locals and visitors centered, and especially having timely interaction between the three parties: managers, tourism business units and visitors.
If these problems are solved, Hue's tourism industry will be greatly expanded to compete with major domestic and regional tourist centers.
At the forum, Hue tourism industry signed a cooperation agreement with many leading technology enterprises throughout the country with many successes in helping some localities and businesses develop tourism based on digital technology platform. With the contribution of the businesses, Hue tourism industry is expected to take advantage of the technological achievements in developing Hue tourism in a smart and sustainable way.
