On the morning of November 3, a working delegation from Hue City People's Committee, led by Mr. Phan Thien Dinh, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Committee, conducted a field inspection at some landslide and vulnerable areas in (formerly) Nam Dong District.

In response to the complex developments of Typhoon No. 12, the Health sector of Hue City has implemented synchronous measures to ensure the safety of people, especially pregnant women, the elderly, and vulnerable groups.

Currently, there are around 34.000 people with disabilities in the provincial area, including about 950 being cared for and supported at public and non-public social assistance facilities.

On October 25th, the Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control and Search and Rescue issued updated warnings for areas across the province vulnerable to flash floods and landslides, particularly in mountainous regions, along transportation routes, and erosion in river and coastal areas.

Thua Thien Hue, with a coastline stretching 120 km, is vulnerable to typhoons and storm surges from the East Sea. Throughout history, Hue has endured severe storms, floods, and droughts, which have had significant impacts on human life, architectural structures, and the natural environment.
