The humanitarian “zero-cost surgery” programs at hospitals have supported many children from disadvantaged backgrounds. It is a deeply humane journey, made possible by teams of doctors and medical staff together with compassionate volunteers across the country, all sharing the hope of bringing joy and happiness to these children.

On February 24, the Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation in Quang Dien Commune, in coordination with the Hematology and Blood Transfusion Center of Hue Central Hospital, organized the 2026 Xuan Hong (Spring of Red) Festival with the theme “Donate a drop of blood - Give life a chance”.

On February 12th, the Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation Mobilization of Phong Thai Ward, in coordination with the Hematology and Blood Transfusion Center - Hue Central Hospital, organized the 2026 Xuan Hong Blood Donation Festival under the theme “A Drop of Blood - A Gift of Life”.

As many areas of Hue City are still submerged under water, warm lunchboxes prepared by women and kindhearted volunteers were delivered to residents in flooded neighborhoods and to patients in hospitals, bringing warmth and comfort to countless hearts as people continue to battle the floods.

In just the first two days (July 1st – 2nd) of implementing the two-tier local government model, over 846 applications were received at 40 Public Administrative Service Centers at the ward and commune levels in Hue City. The dedication of civil servants and volunteers, along with the application of technology, has made a positive impression, helping residents quickly adapt to the administrative procedures under the new two-tier local government system.

On the morning of June 26th, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the City Youth Union Hoang Thi Thuy Linh visited and presented gifts to encourage the volunteer youth teams participating in the 2025 “Tiep suc mua thi” (Exam support campaign) at various 2025 National High School Graduation Exam sites.

On the occasion of welcoming New Year and the Lunar New Year 2025, the Year of Snake, on the night of January 14, Hue City People’s Committee held a new year meeting party with the participation of international tourists, volunteers, experts, and foreign investors working in the city area.

On the afternoon of December 29, at the Oncology Center (Hue Central Hospital), volunteers from the “One Painting - Many Hopes” project and Thua Thien Hue Provincial Women Entrepreneurs Association organized a New Year's celebration for patients there.

Nearly 70 doctors and volunteers of the Operation Smile worked hard from dawn to dusk at Hue Dental Hospital continuously for the past 5 days. About 100 patients with congenital defects such as cleft lip, cleft palate, maxillofacial defects... received surgeries, being given the confidence to integrate into the community...
