On the morning of August 29, a series of cultural and educational events took place at the Ngo Mon Square, including a reenactment of the Truyen Lo Ceremony from the Nguyen Dynasty, the announcement of Hue’s Heritage Promotion Ambassador, and a ceremony honoring the ‘School Honor Students’ of the 2025 - 2026 academic year.

As Da Nang rises to become a premier tourism destination with increasingly diverse and distinctive experiences, cultural events, festivals and community activities play an important role in creating the city’s unique appeal. From August 10 to 12, a team of staff from the Faculty of Animal Sciences and Veterinary Medicine (University of Agriculture and Forestry, Hue University) collaborated with a team of doctors from Hue Central Hospital to successfully carry out a series of trials of an automated surgical robotic arm system on an animal model (pigs).

The second Sline Tennis Forum Tennis Tournament for the Sline Cup 2026 opened on the afternoon of August 6 at the Sline Tennis Center courts (Street No. 7, An Cuu City). The event is part of the Hue Sports Festival 2026 series, co-organized by the Sline Tennis Forum and the Vinh Infinity Tennis Forum.

On the morning of July 26, the Youth Union of Hue Newspaper and Radio-Television, in collaboration with partner organizations, organized a tribute journey to mark the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2026), featuring a series of meaningful activities.

On the evening of July 23, at Thuong Bac Park in Phu Xuan Ward, Hue City, Hue - Culinary Capital 2026 program, themed ‘Bun bo Hue (Hue beef noodle soup) Day’, officially opened. The program is led by the Department of Tourism, in coordination with relevant units, as part of Hue Festival 2026 series of events.

From July 16 to 21, a delegation from Hue City, led by Vice Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee Tran Huu Thuy Giang, attended the 48th session of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee (WHC48) in Busan, South Korea. During the visit, the delegation also organized a series of large-scale cultural and tourism promotion events in Seoul and Busan.

For the first time, when sailboats appeared on the waters of Lang Co Bay, they brought a fresh new image to Hue’s coastal tourism. Beyond serving as a highlight in a series of events promoting the value of one of the world’s most beautiful bays, the sailing determination has also opened up new opportunities for developing modern marine sports.

On the evening of July 5th, as part of Hue Ao Dai Week 2026, Hue City Garment Association organized the exhibition and interactive experience ‘The Story of Hue Ao Dai’, showcasing hundreds of distinctive ao dai designs.
