The training course on implementing the “Safe Swimming and Drowning Prevention” Program 2026, organized by the city’s Department of Culture and Sports in coordination with the Vietnam Sports Administration (the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism), officially opened on the morning of April 17 at 12 Hung Vuong Street (Thuan Hoa Ward, Hue City).

On the morning of April 9th, the Red Cross Society of Hue, in coordination with local authorities of Vinh Loc Commune, held a groundbreaking ceremony to build houses for poor fishermen under the “Safety for Poor and Disadvantaged Fishermen” program, launched by Vietnam Red Cross Society.

On March 14, in Da Nang City, the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET), in collaboration with the National Traffic Safety Committee and Honda Vietnam Company, organized the closing and awarding ceremony for the “Traffic Safety” Contest for the academic year 2025 - 2026, held for primary, secondary, and high school students and teachers nationwide.

On the morning of March 5, Hue City held the 2026 military enlistment and handover ceremony at 5 locations across the city. Despite drizzle and unfavorable weather conditions, the events were conducted solemnly, efficiently, and in full compliance with regulations, thanks to thorough preparation, ensuring absolute safety. All young men who had been called up for military service and service in the force of the City People’s Public Security enthusiastically set out to fulfill their sacred duty of defending the Fatherland.

On the afternoon of December 25, Hue City Department of Health held a conference to review the pilot model for “Food safety market in food and beverage services business” at Tay Loc Market. This is one of the city's key traditional markets, serving not only as a food source for locals, but also as a popular destination for tourists visiting and experiencing Hue's culinary culture.

On the afternoon of December 21, Hue City Department of Health organized the 2025 Child Drowning Prevention Knowledge and Skills Contest. This is a practical activity aimed at raising awareness and equipping students with water safety skills, while spreading the responsibility of families, schools, and the whole society in protecting children from the risk of drowning.

On November 28th, at the City Institute for Development Studies, Hue City Children’s Rights Protection Association organized a training session on reproductive health care skills and water safety education for its staff and members. The program is part of the Association’s 2025 activity plan and was carried out in coordination with the organization HueHelp.

During these historic days of flooding, the doctors and medical staff at Hue Psychiatric Hospital have been “as tense as a guitar string,” both physically and mentally, to ensure the safety of patients and their families.

On the morning of November 3, 1,135 households with 3,121 people from 32 communes and wards were relocated to safe areas by the local authorities and functional agencies.

On the evening of October 28, Mr. Tran Hong Ha, Deputy Prime Minister, Standing Deputy Head of the National Steering Committee for Civil Defence, inspected and worked with Hue City on responding to the particularly large flood event occurring in the area.
