On the evening of March 25, the opening ceremony of National Tourism Year (NTY) - Hue 2025 officially took place at the semi-realistic stage by the Huong River, marking the beginning of a series of cultural, sports, and tourism activities across provinces and cities throughout the country.

To ensure timely service for the opening ceremony of the National Tourism Year - Hue 2025, scheduled for the evening of March 25th, Thuan Hoa District Green Park Center is accelerating the construction of an outdoor stage along the southern bank of the Huong River. The project is set to be completed and handed over by March 20th.

Despite its abundant potential, river tourism in Hue remains underdeveloped, lagging behind its available natural resources. The lack of services, transport infrastructure, and collaboration in river tourism development have all posed significant barriers, preventing this sector from thriving.

The boat racing festival took place on the morning of December 31 on the Như Y River (at the community tourism site of Thanh Toan Tiled-roof Bridge). This is one of the highlights of the New Year 2024 celebrations and in response to the Four Seasons Festival organized by Thuy Thanh commune (Huong Thuy town).

The international tourist market brings huge revenue to the smokeless industry of the province. The first annual boat racing event of Thuy Thanh commune (Huong Thuy town) kicked off on the morning of August 30th on Nhu Y River (at the community tourism spot of Thanh Toan Tiled-Roof Bridge), marking the start of a series of activities to celebrate numerous important local events.

Hue tourism products are still monotonous. Therefore, river tourism is one of the main product lines that needs to be better exploited in the coming time to increase the diversity of tourism in the ancient capital.
