Premiering in August 2025 and surpassing 700 billion VND in box office revenue, the film “Red Rain” (“Mua Do”) created an unprecedented box office phenomenon for a Vietnamese political and historical film. What few people know is that the person behind the film's music, touching the hearts of millions of viewers, is musician Cao Dinh Thang - a young man born and raised in Hue.

On the evening of May 15, the Department of Finance, in collaboration with the City Young Business Association, and Soc do Joint Stock Company - socsdo.vn e-commerce platform, organized a program titled “Unlocking Revenue Growth with Zalo - AI - CRM Ecosystem”. On the evening of May 1st, the People’s Committee of Hue City announced that, on the same day, the city’s heritage site system recorded the highest-ever number of visitors and ticket revenue in a single day. According to statistics from the Department of Tourism released on the morning of March 1, the number of tourists to Hue in the first two months continued to rise sharply, estimated at over 1.2 million arrivals, while the number of visitors to the city in February, 2026 alone witnessed an increase of nearly 72%. Especially, the total revenue from tourism rose significantly compared to the previous year.

According to the information released by the Department of Tourism on February 22, during the 9-day Binh Ngo Lunar New Year holiday, the number of visitors to Hue increased sharply year-on-year. Especially, tourism revenue witnessed an increase of 350% compared to the previous year.

Building on the results achieved in 2025, Hue City has set a growth target of over 10% per year for the 2026 - 2030 period. By 2030, the city strives to reach a growth rate of 11.5 - 12%, and a budget revenue of 28,000 - 30,000 billion VND.

Hue City’s budget revenue is entering a phase of strong momentum, with a revenue structure becoming increasingly diversified and sustainable. Alongside traditional sources such as textiles and garments, beer production and tourism, the rapid growth of industrial sectors is opening up significant new drivers for local budget growth.

On the afternoon of December 31st, at the headquarters of State Treasury Region XIII, the finance - tax - treasury - customs sector inter-agency held a conference to close the state budget fiscal year 2025.

In addition to health insurance coverage, social insurance and voluntary insurance also achieved encouraging results, bringing the total revenue from these three types of insurance to exceed the set targets.
