In the evening of September 27, Hue Central Hospital announced that a pediatric patient suffering from pancreatitis leading to abdominal hemorrhage has been discharged after more than a month of intensive treatment by the medical staff.

The donated organ from a 65-year-old woman, who was relatively lightweight from Hai Duong; the time of cold ischemia during transport across Vietnam was minimized; and the need to dissect the entire heart and major blood vessels before transplantation... These challenges were overcome by the medical team at Hue Central Hospital (HCH), bringing life to a patient with end-stage heart failure.

People with rare blood groups account for about 0.04% - 0.07% of the population. Rare blood is considered a "special red medicine" to treat "special" diseases that no other medicine can replace.

The information was provided by Hue Central Hospital on September 1. This is the 35th transplant case to be discharged from the hospital and singnifies the anniversary of 35th successful autologous stem cell transplants in children.

"Looking at the picture of cancer, many people find it very dark. But for me, it's different; I see this picture lighting up every time. The opportunity for patients to detect and successfully treat cancer is more favorable than ever…". That message was given by Prof. Nguyen Chan Hung - Chairman of the Vietnam Cancer Society at the Annual Conference on Cancer Prevention and Control - Hue 2021. And that "picture" is being decorated by the Oncology Center (Hue Central Hospital) with brighter andvivid colors.

On May 9, at Hue Central Hospital, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Phuong bestowed a certificate of merit of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to the team of the trans-Vietnam heart transplantation as the case had been successfully performed by the experts of the Hospital.
