The 2026 Hue Unicorn Dance Festival officially opened on the morning of September 20 at the Sports Hall at 100 Pham Van Dong St. The event is part of the Autumn Festival activities under the Hue Festival 2026 program and is jointly organized by the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Phu Xuan Ward People’s Committee.

This morning (September 5), more than 302,000 students across the city joined in the nationwide atmosphere of excitement, officially beginning the 2026 - 2027 academic year, as the Opening Ceremony was held simultaneously at educational institutions.

On the morning of August 28, Vietnam Railways Corporation (VNR), in collaboration with Quang Tri Province People’s Committee and Hue People’s Committee, officially launched the ‘Phong Nha - Hue Imperial City: A World Heritage Journey’ tourist train at Dong Hoi Railway Station. Later that day, Hue City welcomed the train and held a ceremony to mark its arrival.

The 20th International Travel Expo Ho Chi Minh City (ITE HCMC 2026) officially opened on the morning of August 27th. Hue is taking part in the event with a joint stall shared by Quang Tri, Hue and Danang.

From August 25 to 27, an intensive training program for Happy School trainers for the 2026-2027 academic year was held in Hue, bringing together a core team of education officials and teachers. The program marks an important preparatory step toward integrating the spirit and values of Happy Schools into educational institutions across the city.

At noon on August 23, the 2nd Capital Cup-2026 - Hue Dancesport Festival officially kicked off at Aeon Mall Hue. As part of Hue Sports Festival 2026, the tournament was jointly held by Hue Talent Club, Hoang Sy Clubs, LTD Danang Recreational Sport Choreography Company Limited, and Aeon Mall Hue.

On July 22nd, 2026, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism issued Official Dispatch No. 4538/BVHTTDL-DSVH to Hue City People’s Committee, expressing its support for Hue in preparing an application to join the UNESCO Creative Cities Network (UCCN) in the field of Gastronomy. This is an important step, providing further political and professional support for the city to concentrate resources, complete its application and work toward the 2027 selection cycle.
