At the time when everything can be ordered online and delivered to your door, in a cozy place by the Huong river (Perfume River), we still gather every year to cook a pot of banh tet and to sing songs to say our farewells to the old year and welcome the new one. (Banh tet is the symbolic food for Tet (the New Year Celebration).

On the evening of June 9th, the Provincial Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, in coordination with the Hue Festival 2024 Organizing Committee, launched the Lantern Festival.

​On the morning of March 29th, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, in collaboration with Hue’s Fisheries Sub-department, organized the release of 160 thousand endemic fish into the Huong River to restore the aquatic resources of this waterway.

The Hue International Sculpture Camp and Public Art Design Competition - 2024 with the theme "Impressions of Hue, Vietnam" is scheduled to take place at the park along the north bank of the Huong River (Kim Long Street, Hue City), starting in January 2024.

Along with walking, many Hue people are choosing swimming as a sport, both to relax and to practice and improve their health.

Along with Bach Ho Bridge, which is a railroad bridge, and Thao Long Bridge, with the architectural structure of a bridge at the top and a dam below to prevent salinity at the bottom, there is a total of seven bridges over the Huong River, namely Truong Tien Bridge, Phu Xuan Bridge, Da Vien Bridge, Tuan Bridge, and Dinh Market Bridge.

It is the Huong River, the river that "embraces Hue in its heart", which is also a priceless gift that nature has dedicated to this place. The exhibition will introduce to the public 23 works by various artists, including Phan Thanh Binh, Dang Thi Thu An, Lai Thanh Dung, Dang Mau Tuu, Dang Mau Triet, etc.

On the morning of May 23 (5th of the 4th lunar month, of the year of the Cat), the Board of Administration - The Organizing Committee of the Vesak 2567 in Thua Thien Hue Province performed the rite of launching of seven lotus lanterns onto the middle of the Huong River to celebrate the major occasion.
