The teams of doctors and medical staff at local health stations play the role of “gatekeepers” of the healthcare system, helping to reduce the burden on higher-level hospitals and bringing healthcare services closer to the residents.

On the occasion of the 71st anniversary of Vietnamese Doctors’ Day, on the morning of February 27, Mr. Tran Huu Thuy Giang, Member of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairman of Hue City People's Committee, visited and congratulated the leaders, staff, and medical teams at several medical facilities in the area.

On the morning of February 27, Hue Central Hospital held a ceremony marking the 71st anniversary of Vietnamese Doctors’ Day (February 27, 1955 - February 27, 2026).

On the morning of February 25th, the Trade Union and Youth Union of Hue Central Hospital, in coordination with the hospital’s Hematology and Blood Transfusion Center, organized the “White Blouse - Red Heart” voluntary blood donation program, attracting nearly 400 officials, public employees, doctors, and medical staff.

The humanitarian “zero-cost surgery” programs at hospitals have supported many children from disadvantaged backgrounds. It is a deeply humane journey, made possible by teams of doctors and medical staff together with compassionate volunteers across the country, all sharing the hope of bringing joy and happiness to these children.

On the afternoon of December 11th, University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University, held a graduation ceremony to confer Level I Specialist degrees for the 2023 - 2025 cohort and for the Level I Specialist program under Project 585 of the Ministry of Health.

On the afternoon of November 17, Hue Central Hospital (HCH) held a discharge ceremony for pediatric patient Nguyen Tuong V., 2 years old - the recipient in the hospital’s fifth liver transplant performed entirely by its own team of doctors. This achievement marks a significant milestone, affirming the hospital’s ability to master the entire liver transplant process - from organ retrieval and liver splitting to transplantation and post-operative care.

During these historic days of flooding, the doctors and medical staff at Hue Psychiatric Hospital have been “as tense as a guitar string,” both physically and mentally, to ensure the safety of patients and their families.

On October 26, at Hue Central Hospital (Branch II), Hue Central Hospital, in collaboration with the Vietnam Young Doctors Association and Hue City Department of Health, organized the program “CAREME - Love Yourself, For a Healthier Vietnam: Cardiovascular - Kidney - Metabolic Screening” to provide healthcare for disadvantaged people in the area.

On October 11 and 12, the Cardiovascular Center - Hue Central Hospital organized a specialized workshop titled “Optimizing RF energy ablation in the treatment of cardiac arrhythmias”. The event was part of a series of continuous medical education (CME) activities, aimed at enhancing professional capacity and standardizing cardiac electrophysiology skills for doctors both inside and outside the hospital.
