On the afternoon of November 17, Hue Central Hospital (HCH) held a discharge ceremony for pediatric patient Nguyen Tuong V., 2 years old - the recipient in the hospital’s fifth liver transplant performed entirely by its own team of doctors. This achievement marks a significant milestone, affirming the hospital’s ability to master the entire liver transplant process - from organ retrieval and liver splitting to transplantation and post-operative care.

During these historic days of flooding, the doctors and medical staff at Hue Psychiatric Hospital have been “as tense as a guitar string,” both physically and mentally, to ensure the safety of patients and their families.

On October 26, at Hue Central Hospital (Branch II), Hue Central Hospital, in collaboration with the Vietnam Young Doctors Association and Hue City Department of Health, organized the program “CAREME - Love Yourself, For a Healthier Vietnam: Cardiovascular - Kidney - Metabolic Screening” to provide healthcare for disadvantaged people in the area.

On October 11 and 12, the Cardiovascular Center - Hue Central Hospital organized a specialized workshop titled “Optimizing RF energy ablation in the treatment of cardiac arrhythmias”. On October 2, a team of doctors and medical staff from Hue Odonto-Stomatology Hospital organized a Community Dentistry program at Hue City Center for Social Work and Child Protection Fund. On the morning of September 29, Hue Central Hospital held the opening ceremony of the 20th Vietnam-Australia Hand Surgery Training Course, designed for surgeons, surgical residents specializing in General Surgery, postgraduate students, as well as doctors and rehabilitation technicians all over the country.

On September 26th - 27th, the 2025 National Scientific Conference on Anesthesiology and Resuscitation (A&R) took place in Hue City, co-organized by Vietnam Society of Anesthesiology and Resuscitation, Hue City Department of Health, Hue Central Hospital, and the Hospital of Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy. The event brought together more than 1.000 doctors, specialists, scientists, postgraduate students from Vietnam and abroad, along with representatives of healthcare enterprises.

On the afternoon of July 21, Hue Central Hospital held a special discharge ceremony for four pediatric patients who had successfully undergone bone marrow transplants. Among them, three children with Thalassemia received allogeneic transplants, and one underwent the hospital’s 50th autologous transplant. This event not only marks a major advancement in medical expertise but also serves as vivid evidence of the tireless efforts of doctors and medical staff to provide better survival chances and quality of life for children with serious illnesses.

On July 9, Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy held a graduation ceremony for nearly 1,300 formal doctors, pharmacists, and bachelor’s degree holders from the academic year of 2025.

From June 23rd to 27th, 2025 Reconstructive Surgery Week at Hue Odonto-Stomatology Hospital, co-organized with ReSurge International (USA), officially concluded, leaving a significant professional impact. The event not only successfully carried out 10 surgeries but also contributed to the training and technology transfer for dozens of Vietnamese doctors and medical staff.
