The journey to school for visually impaired students is inherently fraught with obstacles. As a result, even the smallest shared material and emotional support can bolster their faith to steadfastly chase their dreams.

On the morning of September 20th, Hue City Federation of Labor organized a program to provide support for disadvantaged union members, workers and children of union members at the beginning of the 2026-2027 school year, combined with Mid-Autumn Festival activities for the children. Attending the program was Mr. Nguyen Chi Tai, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hue City.

On September 16, Phu Bai Ward coordinated with Thien Phuoc Charity Group from Ho Chi Minh City to organize the ‘Supporting Students on Their Way to School’ program, presenting 50 bicycles to disadvantaged students in Phu Bai and Huong Thuy wards.

To date, nearly 1,500 gifts, scholarships, bicycles, and other forms of support have been presented to students by various levels of the Women’s Union, with total funding of nearly VND 1 billion. Each gift represents an act of sharing and gives students better conditions for learning and the confidence to start the new school year.

On the morning of September 12, in My Thuong Ward, the city’s Association for the Protection of Children’s Rights, in coordination with the Children of Vietnam (the United States), organized the program ‘Back-to-school support - Scholarship support for disadvantaged students in Thuan Hoa, Phu Xuan, My Thuong, Vy Da wards, and Phan Dang Luu High School in the period of 2026 - 2031’.

From August 26 to September 15, the city’s health sector is rolling out the first high-dose Vitamin A supplementation campaign of 2026 for children aged 6 to under 60 months in ethnic minority and mountainous communes. The campaign aims to provide children with essential micronutrients and help reduce malnutrition rates in these areas.

On the morning of August 30, at the Duong No Ward Party Committee Hall (Hue City), the Standing Committee of the Youth Union of Duong No Ward, in coordination with the ‘Tu Chap canh tuong lai’ Club, Co.opmart Hue One-Member Limited Liability Company, and other accompanying units and individuals, organized the ‘Supporting children to school’ program in 2026 under the theme ‘Wings for dreams - Steady steps to the future’.

From August 27 to 29, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of the Department of Health, in collaboration with the City’s Social Work Center and Children’s Protection Fund, held a program to provide school supplies to disadvantaged children in 2026.

On August 28, Hue Newspaper and Radio - Television, in coordination with its Youth Union, Thua Thien Hue Construction Joint Stock Company, the City Social Policy Bank, Hong Duc Bookstore, and benefactors, organized the ‘Supporting children to school - Mid-Autumn Festival for children’ and social welfare support program in 2026 in A Luoi 2 Commune.

According to the information released on the morning of August 26 by the People’s Committee of Dan Dien Commune, the locality provided financial support worth over VND 1.4 billion for locals to purchase 8 straw balers to facilitate the collection of crop residues during the 2026 summer-autumn rice harvest.
