On the morning of March 9th, the Hue City Employment Service Center officially launched the Employment Month 2026 program with the theme “Spring Job Connection”. It attracted the participation of many businesses both within and outside the city, creating opportunities for direct connections between companies and job seekers during the first months of the year.

Hue’s elevation to a centrally-governed municipality from early 2025 has taken place in a special context: the country is undergoing a major administrative restructuring, reducing the number of provinces and cities from 63 to 34. While 52 other localities are expanding through mergers, Hue has chosen a different path - no consolidation, no expansion by aggregation, but an upgrade built on its existing identity and structural foundation.

Ngoc Linh ginseng is an endemic medicinal plant species with exceptional medical and economic value. However, the natural distribution area of this ginseng species is currently minimal, while the demand for conservation, development, and sustainable exploitation continues to grow. Research into transplanting Ngoc Linh ginseng to ecologically similar regions, such as Hue, is not only a scientific necessity but also opens opportunities to expand the conservation space and develop this precious medicinal plant.

The agricultural fairs and highland markets organized by the City Farmers’ Association toward the end of 2025 have contributed to introducing and promoting local agricultural products that meet VietGAP and OCOP standards, as well as specialty products of ethnic minority communities in mountainous areas, giving them greater opportunities to reach wider markets.

Thirteen years after Hue first hosted the National Tourism Year, the event returned to the city for the second time in 2025, opening a gateway to new opportunities. From this series of events, beyond the growth figures, the city has gained valuable experience and a new surge of energy known as the “Aspiration for transformation”.

Just one year after becoming the country’s sixth centrally governed municipality, Hue City has begun a new and more dynamic development journey. A series of key transport infrastructure projects have been invested in and completed, contributing to a transformation of the urban landscape and opening up numerous opportunities for local socio-economic development.

Participating in large-scale trade fairs is a way for Hue enterprises to access new markets, seek partners to develop their brands, and elevate their scale of operations.

More than just a heritage city, Hue is increasingly becoming a “regional diffusion axis”, linking economic corridors and opening opportunities for cooperation and sustainable investment for the Central region.

On the morning of November 20th, at Hue City Employment Service Center, the Department of Employment (Ministry of Home Affairs), in coordination with the National Employment Service Center and Employment Service Centers in regional localities, organized an offline-online hybrid job fair, simultaneously connecting with Quang Tri, Da Nang, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, and Quang Ngai. The event attracted a large number of businesses and workers.

International cooperation programs in the health sector have brought practical benefits to Hue City, achieving “three goals with one action”: creating opportunities for medical staff to improve their skills; helping thousands of patients access advanced treatment techniques; and strengthening the reputation of medical institutions.
