Amidst the vibrant and bustling atmosphere of transitioning from the old year to the new year 2025, and celebrating the historic milestone of Hue becoming a centrally-governed municipality, on the evening of December 31, the Hue Festival Organizing Committee, Hue City People's Committee, and Carlsberg Vietnam Co., Ltd. collaborated to host the Countdown - Welcoming New Year 2025 event at the intersection of Vo Nguyen Giap and Van Tien Dung streets.

On the afternoon of December 29, at the Oncology Center (Hue Central Hospital), volunteers from the “One Painting - Many Hopes” project and Thua Thien Hue Provincial Women Entrepreneurs Association organized a New Year's celebration for patients there.

On the afternoon of December 10th, the opening ceremony of the exhibition celebrating Vietnam Fine Arts Tradition Day (December 10th, 1951 - December 10th, 2024) took place at the University of Arts, Hue University.

Every year, after the harvest and when people's lives are stable, the Co Tu ethnic group in A Luoi district joyfully prepares for the Tac Ka Coong festival, a sacred and special traditional festival. In the joyful atmosphere, celebrating the 79th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, the Department of Culture and Sports organized the 35th Traditional Boat Racing Competition of Thua Thien Hue province on the morning of September 2, with the participation of 9 units from wards and communes of 9 districts, towns and Hue City.

From June 8th to 10th, Quang Dien District will host the Song nuoc Tam Giang (Tam Giang Water Wave) Festival as part of the activities celebrating Hue Festival 2024. The festival will feature a variety of unique cultural, artistic, and sports activities, deeply reflecting the riverine culture of the region surrounding the Tam Giang lagoon.

As a part of the programs celebrating Hue Festival 2024, from June 8th to 10th, Quang Dien district will host the Tam Giang Water Wave Festival featuring a myriad of cultural, artistic, and sports activities, which is a unique feature of a countryside's river culture at the foot of Tam Giang lagoon.

Eight years ago, on May 19, 2016, the heritage “Poetry and Literature on Hue Royal Architecture” (1802 - 1945) was recognized as a World Documentary Heritage in the Asia-Pacific region by the UNESCO Memory of the World Committee for Asia and the Pacific (MOWCAP).

During the three-day program celebrating the 15th anniversary of Lang Co Bay being recognized as a beautiful bay of the world (from May 10 to May 12), more than 45,000 visitors went to Lang Co to visit, play, and experience tourism and activities within the program.
