The “Ao Dai and Music” art show, held on the stage along the banks of the Perfume River on the evening of June 20th, marked the closing of the 2025 Hue Community Ao Dai Week. The event unfolded in a space rich in identity, emotion, and deep affection for Ao dai Vietnam.

To the melodies blending traditional and modern tones, hundreds of models showcased ao dai collections in the ancient space of An Dinh Palace. Guests from home and abroad, along with Hue locals, were treated to an “art feast” that fused fashion, music, and heritage.

According to a Washington D.C.-based Vietnam News Agency (VNA) correspondent, the Vietnamese Embassy in the United States has showcased the Nhat Binh Ao dai, part of a special collection by the designer Cao Minh Tien, at the Diplomatic Corps Fashion Exhibition and Gala in Washington D.C.

Inspired by the phoenix (“Linh phung” in Vietnamese), a symbol of eternal grace and happiness, the 12 ao dai collections showcased at the recent “Linh phung” Ao dai Festival have left deep impressions and emotions in the hearts of the public and audience.

Following the success of previous collections such as “Xua va nay” (Past and Present), “Nhat Nguyet” (Sun and Moon), “Em den tu nghin xua” (You Come from Ancient Times), “Vu khuc gam lua” (Silk Dance), and “Bong - Hinh” (Shadow - Image), on the evening of December 14th, Trinh Hoang Dieu - a fashion designer, will unveil a new collection of Ao dai entitled “Mau thoi gian” (Colors of Time) at the art event and fashion show “Dieu - Mau thoi gian” (Dieu - Colors of Time) in Ho Chi Minh City.

The flowing ao dai inspired by the Huong River - the poetic and renowned river of Hue, and perhaps the most beautiful in Vietnam - have been elegantly showcased by models to the backdrop of music, sometimes serene, sometimes lively, taking the audience through a range of emotions.

On the morning of May 1st, Hue City Women's Union, in collaboration with Hue City Labour Federation, Hue Youth Union, and Hue Sports and Culture Information Center, organized an event called “Ao Dai by the Perfume River.”

Graduated from a pedagogy school, then attached to embroidery profession, yet the Director of Doan Trang Embroidery Trading & Service Co. Ltd. has an endless passion for Ao Dai and has been the Ao Dai designer for the last 10 years. She has confirmed her name through fashion shows at home and abroad.
