On September 16th, An Cuu Ward People’s Committee held a meeting to discuss the preparations for a program commemorating the 238th anniversary of Emperor Quang Trung’s accession to the throne and his march north to defeat the Qing army, under the theme ‘The Enduring Spirit of the Tay Son’.

On September 15, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People’s Committee Le Tri Thanh, conducted a field survey at My Thuy Port in Quang Tri Province and some industrial parks and key projects in the Northern area of Hue City.

According to an update issued on the morning of September 13, at 4 a.m., the center of the tropical depression was approximately 120 km north-northeast of Da Nang City, and about 140 km east-northeast of Hue City.

The meeting aimed to promote cooperation in transportation and urban infrastructure projects while exploring the application of the transit-oriented development (TOD) model associated with Vietnam’s North-South High-Speed Railway.

The people of Hue, no one knows exactly since when, but on the full moon (15th day) and the first day of each lunar month, many eateries close, and quite a few meat and fish stalls at the market also stop selling. Many places that normally serve meat-based dishes switch to vegetarian food instead.

With the finalization of the North-South high-speed railway, Hue’s transportation network will encompass five principal modes: road, rail, inland waterways, aviation, and maritime transport, paving the way for the city’s breakthrough development.

While not as large-scale or bustling as many famous flower villages in the North and the South such as Sa Dec (Dong Thap), Cai Mon (Vinh Long), Nhat Tan, Tay Tuu (Hanoi), or Thai Phien (Lam Dong)…, the flower villages supplying Tet flowers in Hue remain vibrant and deeply imbued with local cultural identity.
