Hue University of Foreign Languages awards bachelor degrees to 62 new graduates

HNN.VN - On the afternoon of July 13th, the University of Foreign Languages, Hue University, held a graduation ceremony for students of the two full-time programs that spanned the academic years 2022-2025: in-service English Language Teacher Education (ELTE); and the second-degree in English studies for students of cohort 18.

Among the 62 graduates from the in-service ELTE and second-degree in English  studies (cohort 18), 7 received the high distinction (excellent), while 24 received distinction (good).

Pursuing a second degree in English supports professional development and strengthens the personnel records of public officials for students who are already employed. More importantly, under recent postgraduate education regulations, choosing a second degree in a foreign language is considered an optimal path, ensuring both entry and graduation requirements for postgraduate training programs. Enrolling in the ELTE program is also a strategic choice for English teachers aiming to enhance their professional qualifications, especially as English is increasingly becoming a second language in schools.

At the ceremony, leaders of the University of Foreign Languages, Hue University hope that the new graduates would apply the knowledge they had acquired in real life and become valuable contributors to society.

There are people who work their entire lives quietly, yet their footprints remain deeply imprinted on the lands they have passed through, like an underground stream that silently nourishes an entire forest. Associate Professor Dr. Le Van Thang, Vice President of Vietnam Association for Conservation of Nature and Environment, former Director of the Institute of Resources and Environment at Hue University, and former Dean of the Faculty of Environment at the University of Sciences, Hue University, is one such person.
