Over the past few days, people from villages across Dan Dien Commune have been encouraging one another to visit the floating fish farms along the Bo River to buy fish in support of local farmers. Some families bought a few fish, others only one, but everyone said the same thing: “It’s just our way of sharing a little of their hardship”. That’s all they could do, as the recent floods had wiped out tens of tons of fish raised by families living along the Bo River.

From October 29th to November 1st, Hue Water Supply Joint Stock Company (HueWACO) have deployed water tankers for 30 mobile supply trips, serving nearly 5.800 households in isolated areas, promptly providing essential domestic water for residents during and after the floods.

To proactively respond to disruptions in water supply following the floods, on October 31st, Hue Water Supply Joint Stock Company (HueWACO) urgently implemented a mobile water supply plan to promptly meet the daily needs of residents in heavily affected areas of Phu Bai Ward, particularly in the former Phu Son and Duong Hoa areas.

Spanning a total water surface area of more than 210 km², Tam Giang - Cau Hai lagoon system,consisting of three main lagoons: Tam Giang, Thuy Tu, and Cau Hai, is often praised as a natural masterpiece bestowed upon Hue. The Tam Giang - Cau Hai lagoon system connects to the East Sea via the Thuan An inlet (Tam Giang lagoon) and the Tu Hien inlet (Cau Hai lagoon). It is the largest brackish lagoon system in Vietnam as well as all of Southeast Asia with an incredibly rich and diverse ecosystem.
