The exhibition, organized by Vietnam Watercolor Art Group, was officially launched on the evening of May 10 at Lan Vien Co Tich Space (under the management of the Huong River Antique Museum Pottery at No. 94-96-98 Bach Dang St., Phu Xuan Ward).
The exhibition is regarded as a reunion of watercolor artists nationwide who share a passion for this kind of painting. In addition to the 5 main artists, including Ho Hung, Minh Dam, Hai Tre, Doan Quoc, and Vu Tuan, the exhibition also features several other young artists.
Featuring 80 artworks, the exhibition showcases a wide range of themes and artistic styles, from landscapes, urban scenes, portraits, and heritage architecture to nature, people, and even abstract compositions.
Among the 80 exhibited works are several pieces recently created by the artists during their time in Hue, inspired by the city’s streets and heritage sites.
Artist Ho Hung said that the exhibition theme “There Is… a River” was inspired by the cultural flow and memories associated with Hue. “Along with many other rivers across the country, the Huong River has for generations become a symbol of poetry, music, and the art of Hue Ancient Capital,” he shared.
The exhibition lasts until May 24.
