Recent floods and extreme weather events have severely affected the tourism industry. As a key economic sector, tourism must shift its mindset from passive response to proactive adaptation to enhance resilience against climate change.

The People’s Committee of Hue City has just issued Plan No. 360/KH-UBND dated August 26th, 2025, on the organization of Hue Wellness Tourism Week 2025. Accordingly, the programs and events of this week will take place from October 21st to November 2nd, 2025.

On the afternoon of May 15, at the Hue City People’s Committee headquarters, a sponsorship signing ceremony took place between the Organizing Committee of Hue Festival 2025 and the Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV), marking BIDV’s collaboration in key cultural and tourism events during the National Tourism Year in Hue.

To provide the activities of the National Tourism Year - Hue 2025 to tourists, the tourism industry of the Imperial Ancient Capital, along with other units and businesses, has developed a plan to promote and introduce the events in a focus way, reaching both domestic and international markets.

As a part of a series of activities and events of the Winter Festival within the Four Season Festival - Hue Festival 2023, on the evening of December 15th, the Department of Tourism organized the opening ceremony of the “Wellness Tourism Week” event. Attending the opening ceremony was Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

The first annual boat racing event of Thuy Thanh commune (Huong Thuy town) kicked off on the morning of August 30th on Nhu Y River (at the community tourism spot of Thanh Toan Tiled-Roof Bridge), marking the start of a series of activities to celebrate numerous important local events.

Hue has recently organized a number of sporting events, demonstrating its effectiveness in the field of tourism.

Participating in the festival, Hue tourism industry focused on promoting its events and festivals of this year; especially the Hue Traditional Craft Festival 2023 and a series of activities to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Complex of Hue Monuments and the 20th anniversary of Hue Royal Court Music recognized as the world’s cultural intangible heritage.

Hue Festival 2022, with the highlight of Hue Festival Week themed "Cultural Heritage with Integration and Development" taking place from June 25 to June 30, is an event in the first rank among 10 typical events in 2022 in the industry of culture, sports and tourism.
