VinWonders, the entertainment brand under Vingroup, recently organized a workshop to share new products and sales packages aiming at stimulating demand and developing the tourism market for 2025. The program was attended by representatives from the Department of Tourism and over 30 businesses and travel agencies in Hue.

On the morning of February 23, Hue College of Tourism in collaboration with the Youth Employment Service Center of Hue City held the program called the “Journey of Dream Experience” 2025.

On February 21, the Phu Xuan District Center for Culture, Information, and Sports organized the opening ceremony and competition for the Chess and Chinese Chess Tournament, within the framework of the 1st Phu Xuan District Sports Congress in 2025.

A great number of tourists and locals flocked into the Huyen Tran Temple Festival held on At Ty new year’s days. This was an event held by the Department of Culture and Sports, opening on the morning of the lunar January 9th (February 6) at Huyen Tran Cultural Center, located at the foot of Ngu Phong Mountain (An Tay Ward, Thuan Hoa District).

According to statistics from the Department of Tourism, during the nine-day Lunar New Year of the Snake (At Ty)holiday from January 25th to February 2nd (December 26th to the January 5th in the lunar calendar), Hue welcomed an estimated 150,300 visitors, marking a nearly 37% increase compared to the same period during the Year of the Dragon Tet holiday in 2024.

According to the information announced on the night of January 31 by the Department of Tourism, in the 7-day period from January 25 to 31, 2025 (from the December 26 of the lunar Year of Giap Thin to the 3rd day of the Lunar New Year of At Ty), the number of tourists coming to Hue was estimated over 118,600 arrivals, witnessing an increase of 35% to the same period last year.

During the journey to Hue at the beginning of the Year of Snake, many tourists consider the Hue Imperial Citadel as a must-visit destination. Despite the cold weather with occasional rain and sunshine, tourists still want to spend much time checking-in the Royal Citadel and immerse themselves into various activities to gain vivid feelings about the traditional Tet in the Ancient Capital.

To attract more tourists and diversify the international tourist markets, efforts to promote, seek out and expand markets, and develop flight routes are crucial alongside the development and improvement of tourism products and services.

If effectively tapped, sports can become a “golden goose,” significantly contributing to the development and revenue growth of services and tourism in particular and the socioeconomic development of Hue in general.

In the recent top 10 list of affordable and ideal relaxing destinations for Singaporean tourists in 2025, released by UK-based Time Out magazine, Vietnam is represented by two cities: Hue and Da Nang.
