After his elder brother Ho Viet Duc won the Gold Medal at the 31st International Biology Olympiad (IBO), 4 years later, his younger brother Ho Duc Trung also won the Silver Medal at the 35th IBO. This marked the first time in Thua Thien Hue (now Hue City), there are two siblings won international Olympic medals.
