More than 500 artists and performers from 17 art units representing 9 countries gathered at the International Dance Festival 2024, which opened on the evening of August 17 at the Thua Thien Hue Cultural and Cinematic Center (41A Hung Vuong, Hue City).

Thua Thien Hue, with a coastline stretching 120 km, is vulnerable to typhoons and storm surges from the East Sea. Throughout history, Hue has endured severe storms, floods, and droughts, which have had significant impacts on human life, architectural structures, and the natural environment.

On the afternoon of August 15, the Enterprise Development Foundation - Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), and the Provincial Business Association, in collaboration with Vietnam Anti-Counterfeiting Technology Joint Stock Company (ACTIV), organized a workshop on “Traceability: Intellectual property protection for enterprises and key products of Thua Thien Hue Province”.

On August 12, in Hue City, the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, in collaboration with the Australian Human Rights Commission (the period of 2024 - 2026), organized a training course on “Content and methods of human rights education” for teachers from five provinces and cities in the Central region, including Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Thua Thien Hue, and Da Nang.

Located 15 kilometers North of Hue City, Bao La bamboo and rattan weaving village (Quang Phu commune, Quang Dien district, Thua Thien Hue province) is a renowned traditional handicraft village.

On the morning of August 7th, the delegation from the People's Committee of Ha Nam province held a working session with the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue Province to exchange and share experiences in implementing digital transformation (DT).

The close tourism cooperation with ASEAN+3 countries is bringing many positive signals for the national tourism industry. For Thua Thien Hue, the tourism sector needs to find ways to exploit and develop this international tourist market to create a major breakthrough.

Hundreds of thousands of Han Nom (Chinese-Nom script) document pages scattered in many villages and clans across the province have been processed and digitized in a scientific and methodical manner. Few know that this work was silently undertaken by a group of officers and experts of the Thua Thien Hue General Library. Many Han Nom documents after being digitized were also published to the surprise of the public and experts.

On the morning of July 28, the project “Hue - A City to Reduce Plastics in Central Vietnam”, funded by the World Wide Fund For Nature (WWF) - Norway (through the WWF - Vietnam), received by Hue City People's Committee, in collaboration with the Provincial Department of Tourism, organized the inauguration of 5 waiting lounges and free water stations at tourist destinations, including: Thien Mu Pagoda, Bao Vinh Ancient Town, Ban Nguyet Bridge - Me Wharf, Vong Canh Hill, and Sinh Village wrestling area (Hue City).
