On the morning of April 16, Hue City Association of the Blind organized a seminar to commemorate the 70th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's visit to the School for Blind War Veterans (1956 - 2026), the 57th anniversary of the Establishment of the Vietnam Blind Association (April 17, 1969 - April 17, 2026), and the 28th anniversary of Vietnam Disability Day (April 18, 1998 - April 18, 2026).

On the morning of April 16th, the University of Sciences, Hue University organized a series of activities in response to the 5th “Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day” 2026, attracting a large number of staff, lecturers, and students.

In response to Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day (April 21), on April 13, the Phu Xuan Ward Women's Union officially launched a reading space themed “Phu Xuan - Culture and Heritage”. The space is located at the Community Cultural House, 103 Nhat Le Street.

Inside a workshop thick with the scent of cement on Lai The Street (My Thuong Ward), there is a craftsman who remains devoted, day after day, to the meticulous work of casting bonsai pots. He is Nguyen Van Nhan, 53 years old, with 15 years of experience dedicated to creating pots tailored specifically for bonsai artworks.

On the morning of April 11, at Secret Affairs Institute - Tam Toa Complex, Hue Monuments Conservation Center, in coordination with Hue Museum of Royal Antiquities, Hai Ba Trung High School, and Nguyen Hue High School, organized a heritage education program titled “Reforms of Emperor Minh Mang”, in celebration of Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day (April 21).

In the artistic space of Boi Tran Garden during the final days of March, an exhibition was held for the first time that was not only a source of inspiration for artists alone. For the art-loving public, it felt like a grand masterpiece - one that harmoniously blends people with nature.

It is the season of late spring transitioning into early summer, when cicadas begin their rhythmic chorus amidst the leafy canopies. On the afternoon of March 29, at Hue Book and Culture Space (23 - 25 Le Loi Street), the Hair Donation Day, with the message “Giving hair - Giving love”, attracted a large number of students and residents. The event was organized by the “One painting - Many hopes” project in collaboration with Thuan Hoa Ward Public Career Service Center, and Hue Book and Culture Club, with the support from Loan Nguyen hair salon.

The tourism market on the occasion of Hung Kings’ Commemoration Day and the April 30th – May 1st holiday in 2026 began heating up as early as the beginning of March. Unlike previous years, travelers are increasingly booking earlier and favoring short-haul trips over long-haul experiential journeys.

A ceremony marking the 80th anniversary of Vietnam Sports Day (March 27th, 1946 – March 27th, 2026), organized by the Department of Culture and Sports, was held on the afternoon of March 27 at the City Culture and Cinema Center. Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh, member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee and Standing Vice Chairman of the City People’s Committee, attended and extended congratulations and encouragement.
