In Hue, comic books are not just a childhood pastime; they have gradually taken shape as a distinct cultural feature, preserved by a quiet yet steadfast community of comic lovers.

I did not grow up in a family devoted solely to farming, yet my childhood held a clear and gentle chapter shaped by the cycles of rain and sun in my grandparents’ fields. Those years, and the memories they carry, have left a lasting mark, so that even now, I am stirred by an inexpressible emotion whenever I see farmers busily preparing for a new sowing season.

Adjusting the planning of Hue City for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050, is critically necessary in order to shape the spatial development organization model and fully utilize the city’s potential and advantages.

Culture and sports not only shape the identity, but also serve as the soul of development. The responsibility of officials working in the cultural and sports sector is not only to preserve what exists, but also to innovate and spread those values.

At the heart of the Imperial City of Hue, the 180-year-old Co Mat Vien (Supreme council for military and major state affairs of the Nguyen Dynasty) is gradually being revitalized in a new guise. Formerly the seat of the highest decisions of the Nguyen Dynasty, the space is being shaped into a center for creativity, education, and heritage experiences for the community.

In the not-too-distant future, the more than 120-hectare area south of Hue city center will move beyond being a newly developed site to take shape as a “university city” - a space for living, learning, and creativity, gathering the intellectual elite of Central Vietnam.

On the afternoon of September 26th, the 10th National Young Architects Festival, themed “Green Journey”, took place in Hue City, drawing more than 1.000 young architects from 44 delegations across the country.

Hue City is gradually donning a new image - modern, dynamic, and strongly connected. In this flow of development, a series of large-scale, strategically planned projects are taking shape, turning the aspiration of Hue’s breakthrough growth into reality.

Through an interdisciplinary approach involving cultural anthropology, sociology, linguistics, and heritage studies, the project “Core elements that create Hue’s identity, a distinctive land in Vietnamese culture - once the Imperial Capital, a center of culture - religion - arts, and a symbol of deep-rooted traditions” seeks to clarify the role and value of Hue’s identity within the broader national culture. At the same time, it suggests directions for sustainable preservation and promotion in the context of modernization and globalization.
