On the afternoon of April 24, at the Nguyen Dynasty’s Privy Council (Co Mat Vien - Tam Toa), Hue Monuments Conservation Center held an online signing ceremony for a scientific and cultural cooperation agreement with the Quai Branly - Jacques Chirac Museum (France), opening an additional channel to access international archival resources for heritage conservation.

On the morning of April 11th in Hue, Vietnam Neurointerventional Society held the opening of the 2nd National Conference on Neurointerventional, attracting a large number of leading experts and doctors from across the country. There’s a whole movement called “Yellow apricot blossom in front of the entrance”; a completed research project on “Conservation and development of Hue’s yellow apricot variety (Hue’s Hoang mai)”; a scientific conference on developing Hue’s Hoang mai into a key local product, aimed at successfully realizing the project to build Thua Thien Hue province (now Hue City) into Vietnam’s yellow apricot homeland. My friend, journalist Minh Tu, even published a book called “In front of the house stands a yellow apricot tree”, which sold out instantly, was reprinted, and translated into foreign languages to great acclaim.

Along the coastal regions of Central Vietnam, especially in the city of Hue, seahorses are not only a supplementary source of income for many fishermen but also an indicator of a healthy marine ecosystem. As seahorse populations continue to decline, reproductive research models and collaborations between fishermen and scientific institutions are opening up new hope: preserving this unique species for future generations.

Hue City has recently launched the digitalization of its urban trees. Information on location, species, and health condition of each tree is now updated in data, paving the way for a more scientific, proactive, and safer approach to managing a heritage city.

Defining the fields and products of innovative startups is crucial for developing the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem and enhancing the scientific and technological position of Hue City. In an interview with Hue Today Weekly, Ms. Tran Thi Thuy Yen, Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology, emphasized that innovation and entrepreneurship in Hue is shifting strongly from a movement to depth, from ideas to products that create real value.

Ngoc Linh ginseng is an endemic medicinal plant species with exceptional medical and economic value. However, the natural distribution area of this ginseng species is currently minimal, while the demand for conservation, development, and sustainable exploitation continues to grow. Research into transplanting Ngoc Linh ginseng to ecologically similar regions, such as Hue, is not only a scientific necessity but also opens opportunities to expand the conservation space and develop this precious medicinal plant.
