The “Dancing - Ao dai by the Huong River” program took place at the park area of Nha Ken, next to Truong Tien Bridge (Le Loi Street, Hue City) on the afternoon of July 12, officially ended the Hue Community Ao dai Week 2023 organized by the Department of Culture and Sports.

On July 7, leaders of the Project Management Board on Improving Hue City Water Environment informed that the unit has started implementing the construction of the walking path along the Nhu Y River (Hue City) through the capital of nearly 260 billion VND sponsored by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).

With a diverse ecosystem of mountains, rivers, hills, lagoons and coastal sand dunes, Hue is an attractive destination for tourists in all four seasons of the year.

I happened to come across a Facebook post of a friend currently living in the Central Highlands of Vietnam. It read, “seeing seven blooming pink lotus flowers celebrating Vesak on Nhan Co Lake reminds me so much of my hometown - Hue, where Ngu Mountain and the Perfume River reside.”

On the evening of June 10th, the Song Huong (Perfume River) Magazine launched a poetry and painting performance program titled “Perfume River - A River of Poetry” to commemorate its 40th anniversary since its establishment and first issue (June 1983 - June 2023).

It turns hot when summer comes. Despite the fierce heat of the sun in Central Vietnam, the land of Huong River and Ngu Mount offers various fruits and flowers to serve tourists that remind those away from home.

On the morning of May 23 (5th of the 4th lunar month, of the year of the Cat), the Board of Administration - The Organizing Committee of the Vesak 2567 in Thua Thien Hue Province performed the rite of launching of seven lotus lanterns onto the middle of the Huong River to celebrate the major occasion.

The recent prolonged hot weather has led to a significant number of people heading to Huong River, the section that flows through the center of Hue City, to cool off and beat the heat.

Although the Huong River is just located humbly in the area of Thua Thien Hue, this river is still full of beauty from being fierce in the sections of waterfalls in the upstream of the old forest to being gentle and fond when flowing through the delta. Just like that, the Huong River has been an indispensable part in the deep spiritual life of Hue people and Hue culture.

A large number of local residents and tourists gathered to witness the Worship Ceremony of the Ancestor of Crafts and Procession to honor traditional artisans and craftsmen that took place on the afternoon of May 5th at Tu Tuong Park, along the banks of Huong River in Hue city.
