On April 5, the People’s Committee of Hoa Chau Ward officially opened the 1st Sports Festival for the 2025-2026 period. The event drew strong participation from a wide range of groups, including residential quarters, schools, and armed forces units, with the partaking of outstanding athletes who have achieved notable results at both city and national levels.

According to the results of the 2026 national team selection exam for international and regional Olympiads, Phan Cong Dung, an 11th grade Informatics major student at Quoc Hoc - Hue High School for the Gifted, has been selected for the Asia-Pacific Informatics Olympiad (APIO) team.

On the morning of March 18th, Hue City Election Committee held a conference to announce the vote count results and the list of elected members of the City People’s Council for the 2026 – 2031 term.

In the National Excellent Student Examination for the 2025-2026 academic year, Hue City won four First Prizes. Notably, Geography recorded its first-ever First Prize winner, while French returned to the highest podium position after many years, earning two First Prizes. On February 9, the Department of Education and Training held a ceremony to honor and reward students who achieved outstanding results in the National Excellent Student Examination for the 2025-2026 academic year at Quoc Hoc - Hue High School for the Gifted.

Building on the results achieved in 2025, Hue City has set a growth target of over 10% per year for the 2026 - 2030 period. By 2030, the city strives to reach a growth rate of 11.5 - 12%, and a budget revenue of 28,000 - 30,000 billion VND.

On the afternoon of January 23, immediately following the closing session of the 14th National Congress of Delegates of the Communist Party of Vietnam, an international press conference was held at the Congress Press Center to announce the results of the 14th Party Congress.
