On the afternoon of September 18, Hue Tourism College held a conference on business cooperation to improve training quality. The event was attended by representatives from management agencies, professional associations, and businesses operating in the tourism and services sectors.

On July 22nd, 2026, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism issued Official Dispatch No. 4538/BVHTTDL-DSVH to Hue City People’s Committee, expressing its support for Hue in preparing an application to join the UNESCO Creative Cities Network (UCCN) in the field of Gastronomy. This is an important step, providing further political and professional support for the city to concentrate resources, complete its application and work toward the 2027 selection cycle.

On the morning of August 21st, Hue Central Hospital, in coordination with Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy, opened the 14th Annual Hue Scientific Conference on Cancer Prevention and Control. More than 10 years after winning a prize at Sao Mai 2013, Dr. Nguyen Hoang Tinh Uyen returned to a professional music competition and won the Gold Prize in the Vocal category at the Crescendo International Music Festival 2026. For her, the award not only marked her return to the stage but also gave her renewed motivation to continue conducting research, performing, and inspiring her students through music. ​

On July 20, Hue Central Hospital hosted the 7th Imperial City Eye Meeting 2026 (ICEM 2026) under the theme “From Fundamentals to Challenges in Surgery.” Taking place from July 20 - 22, the event brings together over 200 ophthalmologists, researchers, and healthcare professionals from Vietnam and abroad to discuss the latest advances in ophthalmology, strengthen international collaboration, and enhance the quality of eye care services for the public.

On the morning of June 29, the 2026 professional training course for swimming and diving lifeguards officially kicked off at Hue City Sports Center, drawing nearly 100 participants, including officials and employees from agencies, organizations, and businesses across Hue.

On the afternoon of June 25, the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University held a graduation ceremony and awarded graduation degrees to more than 1,100 new doctors, pharmacists and bachelor's graduates from full-time program 2026. The graduates belong to the 2020–2026 and 2021/2022–2026 cohorts across a wide range of health sciences programs, marking an important milestone in their academic journey as they prepare to enter the professional healthcare workforce. ​

On the occasion of June 21st, Dr. Luong Dong Son, from the Institute of Journalism and Communication at the Academy of Journalism and Communication, shared with Hue Today Weekly about the journalism profession in the age of AI and the values that must be preserved amid the technological tide.

In journalism, the mark of those in the profession is often found in a camera drenched in sweat under the scorching sun, a notebook filled with hurried notes, eyes intently following every detail of an event, or tentative footsteps through floodwaters, etc. Yet each image captures the pulse of the profession — a story of responsibility, passion and dedication.
