With the development trends of the new era, many craft villages have fallen into decline, with fragmented production, a lack of capital, and outdated technology. These difficulties are major barriers that cause traditional crafts to lose their place in today's socio-economic life gradually.

For centuries, the land of Hue has been renowned for the skillful hands of its artisans. This region is a place not only preserves the cultural heritage of the imperial court, but also serves as the cradle that maintains and develops hundreds of unique traditional craft villages. However, in the face of global integration trends, Hue’s craft villages are confronting numerous challenges.

On the morning of September 4, the opening ceremonies of three major international events, including the 19th International Travel Expo Ho Chi Minh City (ITE HCMC), Export Conference 2025, and the event “Connecting International Goods Supply Chain” officially took place at Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC). Hue participated in the event with the joint stall of three localities Quang Tri - Hue - Danang.

“Thanh Thuy New Day - Connecting the Community” 2025 marathon, organized by Thanh Thuy Ward, took place on the morning of September 2. The activity was held to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day (September 2).

On the afternoon of August 31, the ceremony introducing Hue Times Square project took place at 5 Le Loi Street, on a bank of the Huong River.

By the end of July 2025, Hue City no longer has any dilapidated, ramshackle houses. In their place now, stand new, solid houses - turning many families’ dream of stable housing into reality.

From August 24th to 29th, the CIPA 2025 Symposium took place in Seoul, South Korea, with the theme “Heritage Conservation from Digital Data: From Digital Documentation to Data-Based Heritage Preservation”. This major forum brought together nearly 1.000 experts, researchers, and international organizations in the field of conservation.

The People’s Committee of Hue City has just issued Plan No. 360/KH-UBND dated August 26th, 2025, on the organization of Hue Wellness Tourism Week 2025. Accordingly, the programs and events of this week will take place from October 21st to November 2nd, 2025.

Organizing STEAM educational experiences for students; a warm art night dedicated to mothers; a journey carrying books to a remote village; and a discussion with young people about French architecture, etc., these activities gave August a warm start at Hue Book and Culture Space - a cultural meeting place that, despite being new, has become a cherished part of Hue.

On August 26, the inauguration ceremony for the Phu Bai Brewery expansion, and the commencement ceremony of Scavi Huong Tra Factory construction took place in Hue City.
