On the afternoon of November 17, Hue Central Hospital (HCH) held a discharge ceremony for pediatric patient Nguyen Tuong V., 2 years old - the recipient in the hospital’s fifth liver transplant performed entirely by its own team of doctors. On the morning of November 11th, the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee held the 2nd City Party Committee meeting, term 17th, to review the performance over the first 10 months of 2025 and to set key directions and tasks for the remaining months of 2025; the meeting also considered draft working regulations and an Action Program to submit to the City Party Congress Executive Committee.

As reported by Hue Central Hospital, they have marked a significant milestone in Vietnamese medicine by successfully performing the first kidney transplant in the country using the LifePort hypothermic machine perfusion (HMP) system. This is a breakthrough in organ preservation technology, and opens a new chapter for Vietnam’s organ transplantation field.

On the morning of October 2nd, at Hue Central Hospital, H.T.N. (45 years old, Thuy Xuan, Hue City) was officially discharged in stable health after nearly three weeks recovering from a remarkable cross-Vietnam heart transplant. This was the 20th successful heart transplant carried out at Hue Central Hospital, marking another important milestone in Vietnam’s field of cardiac surgery and organ transplantation.
