The exhibition titled “HER-ITAGE - Restructuring Traditional Embroidery”, held in late September, left many emotions and beautiful impressions on visitors and Hue residents with bridal gowns that carry cultural stories. At the exhibition, viewers could see firsthand the delicate, creative, and soaring carvings, inlays, and cuts of Vietnamese traditional embroidery art shown on vivid patterns of bridal gowns, including Hue royal motifs.

Bustling energy, vibrant Zèng patterns, the echo of gongs blending with joyful laughter – together, they paint a vivid picture of the highlands in springtime, full of life and colors.

Responding to the “Ao Dai Week”, women across A Luoi have been donning their traditional ao dai, shining in costumes made from Zeng fabric. The fusion of ao dai Vietnam with the intricate patterns of A Luoi Zeng fabric creates a look that is both graceful and deeply rich heritage value.

Remaking second-hand clothes, a hobby with hand-embroidered patterns, or adding small, delicate fabric pieces is something many young people are enjoying. With just a few simple stitches, these techniques can transform an old outfit into something unique and stylish, capturing attention with its distinctiveness and personality.

On the afternoon of June 3, at the Truong Lang Corridor of the Forbidden City, Hue Imperial City, Hue Monuments Conservation Center in collaboration with Hue University of Arts organized the opening ceremony of an exhibition on arts and heritage, with the theme “Artistic inspiration from royal patterns”. The exhibition is part of a series of activities in response to the highlight week of Hue Festival 2024.

Inspired by patterns on Nine Dynastic Urns of the Nguyen Dynasty, which located in Hue Imperial Citadel, nearly 60 wood engraving artworks have been curated and introduced to the public on the morning of March 19th at Le Ba Dang Art Center (Hue Museum of Fine Arts, 15 Le Loi Street, Hue City).

The organizing committee of Hue Festival 2024 has recently unveiled the official poster for the upcoming festival, scheduled to take place in mid-June from the 7th to the 12th. The poster draws inspiration primarily from the restored royal patterns on the Kien Trung Palace in the Imperial Citadel, Hue city.

Patterns on Zeng and small products made of Zeng by Ta Oi artisans in the mountainous district of A Luoi have been so impressive. Lovers of this traditional fabric not only want to own products, but also visit remote villages to experience firsthand the weaving process.
