During their visits to educational institutions on the morning of November 20th in celebration of Vietnamese Teachers’ Day, city leaders acknowledged the contributions of the units to the city’s education and training efforts; at the same time, hoped that schools will continue to promote their roles, innovate, improve teaching quality, and make positive contributions to Hue’s development in the new period.

Hue is changing every day through its bridges. From the more-than-120-year-old Truong Tien Bridge reflecting the city’s heritage, to Phu Xuan, Nguyen Hoang, Da Vien, Thuan An, Tam Giang, etc., these bridges not only connect the roads of Hue but also symbolize the city’s reach toward the future.

Although hundreds of thousands of pages of Han - Nom documents have been saved, many others in the community are still deteriorating, damaged, or lost for various reasons. Faced with this challenge, Hue City Library is racing against time each day in the hope of collecting and restoring them for digitization, preservation, and value promotion. A piece of good news is that the long-term plan for this work, extending through 2030, has just been approved by Hue City People’s Committee.

Coming to Hue as part of the “2025 International Art Workshop and Exhibition”, artists immersed themselves directly in the heritage life of the Ancient Capital to find material for creation. Through their lens, the heritage appeared differently: vibrant, transformative, and ready to accompany contemporary art.

In recent years, along with the orientation of building Hue into the first bicycle city in Vietnam, green transportation solutions have been increasingly emphasized, in which, the electric-assist conversion kit for bicycles developed by VierCycle, a young engineering team, is being considered a new solution, which is both modern and suitable for the characteristics of a small and peaceful city like Hue.

For Hue City, a land rich in cultural heritage, local specialties, and traditional crafts, e-commerce is opening new pathways and laying the foundation for sustainable economic growth.

The event titled “Hue - Innovation for Sustainable Development” (Hue Innovation Day 2025) and the forum “Developing Private Economy in Connection with Heritage Economy Development in Hue” were recently held, opening new perspectives on harnessing heritage values as an economic resource. From the stories of young businesses to the strategy of heritage urban development, Hue is affirming its own path: Turning heritage into a sustainable development momentum.

A piece of good news is that in the first 9 months of 2025, Hue welcomed nearly 5 million of tourist arrivals, exceeding the 4.8 million tourist arrivals recorded in 2019. It contributed to creating a strong recovery after a period of stagnation, clearly highlighting the city’s role as the host of 2025 National Tourism Year.

In the mountainous commune of Khe Tre - newly born from the merger of Khe Tre Town and the communes of Huong Phu, Huong Loc, and Thuong Lo - a night concert titled “Ngan Ngo” (A Thousand Reveries) unfolded amid forest breezes, lights, and melodies. With no tickets and no grand stage, the night concert still etched itself in the memory of everyone who attended.

On Facebook, amid the flood of news and images of inundation, among the urgent rescue and relief efforts by authorities and functional forces, I came across an image that warmed my heart: hot meals being packed and prepared for their journey from the area of fomer Phu Thuan to Hue Central Hospital, to be given to hungry patients trapped by the floods.
