The principal of Quoc Hoc - Hue High School for the Gifted announced that Hue City has three 12th-grade students exempted from the 2026 National High School Graduation Examination and granted priority direct admission to universities and colleges. All three students are from Quoc Hoc - Hue High School for the Gifted.

The National Freestyle and Greco-Roman Wrestling Club Championship 2026 concluded at noon on May 8 in Hue City. At the Championship, the host team made a remarkable breakthrough in the freestyle wrestling overall standings.

On the afternoon of April 26th, Vietnam Haiku Poetry Club - Hue Ancient Capital branch held a gathering and poetry - music exchange to commemorate the 51st anniversary of National Reunification Day (April 30th, 1975 - April 30th, 2026). The 5th Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day 2026, with the message “Books - Knowledge - Aspiration for National Development”, organized by Hue City Department of Culture and Sports, officially opened on the morning of April 21st at Hue City Library (29A Le Quy Don Street, Thuan Hoa Ward).

From April 17 to 19, at the Banking Academy in Hanoi, the Ministry of Education and Training, in collaboration with the Central Committee of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the Ministry of Science and Technology, and Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), organized the 8th National Startup Day for students in 2026.
