Hue City has recently become the starting point for a campaign to strengthen the implementation of a smoke-free environment in restaurants, hotels, and public attractions. On August 24, the City Military Command directed Regiment 6 to deploy 100 officers and soldiers along with vehicles to grassroots areas to help people brace for Typhoon No. 5 (Kajiki). At the same time, the City Military Command directed local military forces to step up support at the grassroots level, coordinating with locals to gear up for flooding and typhoon, and minimize damage to property and loss of life.

Popularizing digital technology and digital skills for the community has become a comprehensive strategic task, especially with the implementation of the new two-tier local government model. The Institute of Digital Transformation and Learning Resources - Hue University currently plays a pivotal role in launching the “AI - Digital Literacy for All” movement designed to bring technological knowledge closer to the community, particularly targeting officials, civil servants, public employees, teachers, and citizens.
