After days of floods, Hue welcomes the cold along with light, lingering rain, in between dry days and occasional sunshine. Once again, Hue gently returns to its peaceful rhythm of everyday life, preparing itself as best as possible to welcome the New Year 2026.

On the afternoon of December 14th, at the People’s Committee of A Luoi 5 Commune, the City Border Guard Command, in coordination with its partner units, organized a gift-giving program to support people facing difficult circumstances and those affected by floods.

Held for the first time in Hue City, the International Tea Festival - Hue 2025 (taking place from December 10th to 12th) not only contributes to honoring Vietnamese tea culture but also is expected to serve as an important starting point, laying the foundation for the formation of a profound cultural, artistic, and tourism-oriented annual event, helping enrich Hue’s identity and enhance its attractiveness.

“Promoting the value of Hue’s local specialties through experiential tourism” was the theme of a specialized workshop organized by Hue Center for Investment Promotion, Trade and Enterprise Support over 2 days, December 13 and 14.

After three months of implementing the renovation and embellishment work, the Historical site of the burial place of Mrs. Hoang Thi Loan (the mother of President Ho Chi Minh), with many components, has been completed.

A large number of photographic and documentary materials highlighting the special relationship between President Ho Chi Minh and General Nguyen Chi Thanh were exhibited and introduced to the public on the morning of December 12th at Ho Chi Minh Museum of Hue City (No. 7 Le Loi Street, Thuan Hoa Ward).

On December 12, at the Presidential Palace, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan had a meeting and commendation ceremony for the national team of students who won awards at the International Olympiad and International Science and Engineering Fair in 2025.

On the afternoon of December 11th, University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University, held a graduation ceremony to confer Level I Specialist degrees for the 2023 - 2025 cohort and for the Level I Specialist program under Project 585 of the Ministry of Health.

On December 10th, the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University, held the inauguration ceremony for the Italian ODA building, constructed using concessional loans from the Government of Italian Republic along with domestic counterpart funding.
